 Adventure in the White Cordillera
**Duration: 08 Days / 07 Nights

 

Day 1: Huaraz.- Reception. Transfer to the hotel. At the suitable hour, visit the city of Huaraz, archaeological complex of Wilcahuaín and the water heated-medicinal baths of Monterrey. Relax and rest. 

Day 2: Huaraz/Vaqueria.- Early in the morning, visit the Valley of the Santa, crossing over the typical towns of the area and arriving at the spring Yungay. Opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the lagoons of Llanganuco, famous for their beautiful turquoise color.  Continuation of the walk toward the gulch Demanda where we will carry out one to rest. Our walk continues toward Portachuelo, from where you can appreciate (weather allowing) the Nevado of the Huascarán, Huandoy and Chacraraju and its imposing and rural natural beauty.  Camp in Vaquería.

Day 3: Vaqueria/Tuctu.- Early in the morning walk toward Colcapampa, crossing over the valley of Huaripampa where the glaciers of Pariah and Taurillaju are appreciated. Camp this day will be in Tuctu, located in the National Park of the Huascarán.

Day 4: Tuctu/Taullipampa.- Walk ascending toward Punta Union from where Taulliraju, Santa Cruz's magnificent valley and Santa Cruz, Quitaraju and Artesonaju are located. Lakes and natural lagoons were formed by the melting snow.

The walk continues to the point of the camp located in Quiswarpampa.

Day 5 : Taullipampa/Llamacorral.- Cross the valley Arhuaycochacon from where there will be the opportunity to appreciate the snowy peaks of Alpamayo, considered the most beautiful mountain in the world. Next we arrive to Santa Cruz's valley where the landscape changes from high snowy peaks to a plain that is characterized by marshy lands and huge rocks. We conclude the walk in Llamacorral where our camp in now is located.

Day 6: Llamacorral/Cashapampa/Huaraz.- Walk toward Cashapampa, return point by bus toward the city of Huaraz.

Day 7 : Huaraz/Chavin/Huaraz.- Transfer to the Alley of Conchucos where the archaeological complex of Chavin of Huantar is located, considered as the culture mother of Peru. In the itinerary the beautiful lagoon of Querococha was appreciated as well as the tunnel of Cahuish.

Day 8 : Huaraz.- Transfer for departure.
