Day 1: Iquitos
City/Lodge.- Transfer to the port of
Belen where we get into our speed boat
for an hour and half ride to the jungle lodge. Welcome drink at the lodge. Get
settled into your jungle bungalow and enjoy the small compound with hammocks,
pool and view tower. At the proper time we will take a guided tour of the
surrounding area to see local birds, animals, medicinal plants, local children
and natives are always nearby to enjoy also. Our guide will give us explanations
of the medicine plants as we come across them on our hike.
Day
2: Lodge.- Early morning walk thru the jungle to see one of the typical
village of the jungle and the Trapiche where sugar cane is distilled to make
Aguardiente (typical alcoholic drink). In the afternoon we will visit the Boras
who will gladly share with us their customs of dancing and singing. They will
also have available native handicrafts that can be purchased or traded for.
Day 3:
Lodge / Iquitos City.- Morning open to relax and enjoy the beauty of the
Jungle. Pool is available and hammocks are wonderful. At the proper time we will
depart the jungle lodge in our boat and head back to Iquitos for transfer to the
airport.
