Day 1: Juliaca / Puno
City.- Airport or train station
pick up by our tour Guide. Transfer to the hotel. Rest to acclimate to
the altitude. At appointed time we will visit the Chullpas of Sillustani,
a 3.5 hour tour that will take you thru the city of Puno,
give you
beautiful views
of Lake
Titikaka and
a visit
to a
native home
of the
alpaca herdsmen.
This
all on the way to the ceremonial lake of Umayo.
Return to hotel. Rest.
Day 2: Puno/Juliaca.- Early in the morning weŽll Visit to
UROS ISLANDS. These
ancient inhabitants of the area come from the oldest civilizations of the
Americas. These tribal people still live upon a group of 40 small man made
islands. The islands are constructed from the Totora reed, these islands are
called KOT-SUNS (translated
as " Lake Town" in the Aymara language). These floating islands
are within the boundaries of the Lake Titikaka Reserve and are considered as one
of the most ancient communities in the Americas.
At proper time, transfer to the airport or bus station.
