Day 1: Lima.-
Reception and transfer to the hotel.
Day
2: Lima /Ica. - WeŽll depart by
bus to Ica city. City Tour where weŽll view
the most important attractions of Ica city, such as: The Main Plaza, the
Cathedral, the district of Luren, the mythical lagoon of
Huacachina, finishing in the Regional Museum of Ica.
Day
3: Ica/Nasca/Ica. - Transfer to the city of Nasca (02 hours approx) to fly
over the enigmatic Nasca Lines. Afterwards weŽll continue to the archaeological
areas of Cantalloc. Return to Ica city.
Day
4: Ica/Paracas/Lima. - Excursion to Ballestas islands, one of the valuable
and impressive coastal atmospheres in the world. Afterwards weŽll continue to
the Natural Reserve of Paracas and the Julio C. Tello Museum, where original
pieces of pre-Inka Paracas culture are exhibited. At proper time, weŽll return
to the city of Lima.
Day 5: Lima/Arequipa.-
Flight to Arequipa. Reception. At
appointed time, visit to the most important attractives of Arequipa city, such
as: the Main Plaza, the Cathedral, the Colonial houses, the Convent of Santa
Catalina.
Day 6: Arequipa/Juliaca/Puno.- Transfer to the airport. Flight to Juliaca city. Arrival and reception.
Transfer to Puno city. On the way visit the archaeological complex of
Sillustani, considered to be one of most impressive pre Columbian cemeteries of
the world.
Afterwards,
weŽll continue t to UROS ISLANDS.
These ancient inhabitants of
the area come from the oldest civilizations of the Americas. These tribal people
still live upon a group of 40 small man made islands. The islands are
constructed from the Totora reed, these islands are called KOT-SUNS
(translated as " Lake
Town" in the Aymara language).
Day 7: Puno/Cusco.-
Transfer to the city of Cusco. On the way we will appreciate diverse and
colourful Andean villages, as well as crossing
La Raya, the highest rail point of the Andes of the Southern area of the
country.
Day
8: Cusco.- Visit main turistic attractions
of downtown and the bordering archaeological complexes: Sacksayhuaman,
Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and QŽenqo.
Day 9: Cusco/Machu
Picchu/Cusco.- WeŽll board the
train taking us to Machu Picchu. WeŽll walk through the temples, plazas,
terraces and the urban zone
of Machu Picchu. In the evening, return to the city of Cusco.
